Jaceattemptsart was first brought to the janitorial team's attention as a routine deletion of low-effort AI generated traces by Manitka; Spe immediately signed off on the deletions, finding several factors consistent with previous AI deletions from other artists. They messaged Manitka to appeal, whereupon they were directed to use the Discord server to coordinate with multiple members of janitorial staff.

At 4:02 PM (Central Time), they opened the Discord appeal ticket. At 4:11 PM, Spe responded, ready to handle the rest of the appeal process. Over two hours later, at 6:27 PM, JaceAttemptsArt posted processes for post #5813003, post #5858535, and post #5819702, consisting of still images as follows:

• basic skeletal blockouts consisting of straight lines for limbs, and ellipsoids for shoulders, hips, and heads.
• the same images, but with the final linework overlaid at lower opacity.
• the finished character, with no background, and simpler lighting.
• the final image.

In addition to this, they provided some brief testimony where they claimed to be the "head artist" for the Norwegian "Anthros & Alpine" convention. A casual investigation by Lafcadio revealed that Anthros & Alpine had no such position, and there was no public proof of any association with Anthros & Alpine: no staff listing, no social media associations, etc; Lafcadio had also determined that their Patreon description was consistent with AI-generated text, containing an ending call to action, multiple em-dashes, emoji usage, and the rule of three. The only inconsistency was the lack of a single grammatically-correct apostrophe, which would easily be explained away with a prompt that permits such an error, or human editing.

After Spe had left a reply stating that the workflow was unrealistic, JaceAttemptsArt voluntarily admitted that the process they provided was fake: they did not draw these skeletal blockouts, and instead work by making the finalized linework from scratch. In their own words: "but no one would believe that in the slightest so I made s^[sic] fake "sketch" to try and sell my point".

Lafcadio asked to know more about this work relationship, and after more questioning it was determined:

• they would or could not explain why A&A's staff listing doesn't include them.
• they would or could not prove any A&A-related work history.
• they would not prove any prior art history, stating only that they "started taking art actually seriously last December".
• they would not invite any of the A&A staff for their evidence.

In response, the appellant became defensive, offering to perform a speed-draw but maintaining that the responding staff had no right to inquire further. They then voluntarily left the Discord server, concluding the appeal.

As of the time of this writeup (2025-10-01), no video evidence of any kind has been provided to e621 staff.
