Was there some crash out? I cant find anything online about any way JAT was involved with ai and yet manitka deleted all of their artwork! Wtf??

You aren't going to find anything because we consistently find artists like this out of the couple thousands of posts every day. There are lots of artists who look exactly like this because they're all using the same materials and tracing them with the exact same techniques.

Jace opted into a #private-help appeal with us on Discord. Another staff member provided the first response within 9 minutes, then Jace took about two hours to manifest some sketches; the cynical explanation would be that Jace had to make these sketches because they didn't exist before. The provided evidence did not portray a realistic transition from blockout to final linework, so it could not be accepted as proof of manual work.

In the interest of covering other bases even though the sketches were not satisfactory, we prompted Jace for testimony, but this did not inspire confidence.

    • Much of what they said about their workflow was either highly atypical, and thus would only be accepted as true if it's backed by other pieces of evidence, or completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
    • they admitted they faked their sketches because nobody would believe their actual workflow: "i just start with the muzzle and head and work my way down but no one would believe that in the slightest".
    • they claimed to be the "Head Artist" for the Anthros & Alpine convention, but...
    • they wouldn't explain why A&A's staff listing doesn't include them.
    • they wouldn't prove any A&A-related work history.
    • they wouldn't prove any prior art history, stating only that they "started taking art actually seriously last December".
    • they wouldn't invite any of the A&A staff for their evidence.

The only thing they really did was promise a video recording. Several hours before I logged in today, Jace voluntarily left the Discord server, leaving the appeal unfinished. Until a recording actually exists, we can only treat this as an admission of guilt or complete disinterest in archiving their works on e621.

Their Patreon description shows several traits that are associated with AI-generated text: ends with a call to action, uses em-dashes, invokes the rule of three multiple times. About the only oddity is the lack of an apostrophe in "I'm", but this would easily be explained by human editing or a prompt that allows for a minor error like this.

    Hey there!

Im Jace, a furry artist who draws spicy (okay, downright NSFW) art — think lewd, wild, and unapologetically furry. If you’re into that, you’re in the right place. 🐾🔥

I’m building this space to connect with folks who enjoy my work and want to support it. Every bit helps me create more, push my art further, and maybe one day do this full-time.

if you like what I do and want to be part of this community from the ground up, I’d be beyond grateful to have you on board.

Thanks for stopping by — now let’s make some art that’s too hot for Twitter. 😈
