    Strangely, this auto-converted into a .JPG when downloaded from the source and uploaded here. Is that an issue on my end or somehow FA's fault? Either way, it's an odd glitch that makes me a wary of downloading from FA in the future, even if the largest source is available there.

    Yes, it's FA's fault.
    The file has a .png extension but is actually a JPG.
    (common problem on FA)
