She is a smart (if socially oblivious) nerd. This outfit is perfect for her. Apparently she either doesn't think of herself that way, or doesn't want to. Either way, I think eventually she will have to accept who she is if she wants a boyfriend (as opposed to a one night stand.)

I'm with you, pretty much. I gather that Phoebe is meant to be a sexy and fun character first and foremost, which she is, but looking at her more seriously, she has an endearing but still sort of concerning combination of having both too much and not enough self-confidence, which is one of the main causes of most of her problems. Not that she's super bothered by those problems.

In this case, I don't see her bothered by the idea of being smart or nerdy, it's more the smart and nerdy being dialed up to 11 that she rejects. I.e., she sees herself as being more fun-loving and upbeat, not bookish and mousy. (And probably also doesn't figure those kinds of people have sex, which is goal number one for her.)

That said, her mindset says to me that at least at the present, she's not interested in a boyfriend, she just wants to get her v-card punched. She doesn't seem exploitive at all, either, and she's already shown she's bummed by failure but can take "no" for an answer. Maybe someday if (and that's an if) she matures some more or figures out that she might want to have a goal in addition to having sex, but not now.

Poor thing. I hope she meets a guy who's patient with her and is able to account for her abysmally poor social awareness. (Or that she actually develops the skills she needs, although that would hurt the cute factor a little).

hey, we dont often look the way we want, but if we dont like how we look, it's not us then. Sometime, we can't change things, like our body, the sise, the color, but we can choose the style we have.

If she say it's her style, it's not, and if she want somebody she's happy with, she does not need to confort to the sterotypes we force upon people because of pop culture.

Look at me (yes, sorry, you can't, but i'l explain) i'm an autist (with the paper and all) i'm tall like a giant (6,5 ft) but i dont like the style most men want to wear. Instead, i wear pirate boots, with 17 century sleeve and pants, long hair and Richelieu mustache and beard.

i'm a FAT FUCKING NERD, warhammer 40 or fantasy, with a whimsical humor and love for bad pun, but the first things people see in me when they see me is "noblesse oblige", until they learn to know me has a big dork, dog personn, throught brain and manners, both with love for good boy, and being myself one. (what was i saying again ?! i have ADHD too, suck to have all of those quirks) HA YES !

Welp, you can find one day your soulmate by being yourself, and if she find her style, and being pretty for HERSELF FIRST, then she will be absolutly divine for one guy (or gal, or old god cthulu style) and that's what a good relationship should start with !
