I think the artist definitely is, well, an artist, since he’s been in the game for a while before AI could even generate anything past Dwayne Johnson eating boulders. However I believe you’re also correct, I see a ton of consistencies with AI artwork, even considering the artists twitter (where he used to post actual art sketches) are now just pre colored YCH’s WIP.

I’m gonna go with heavy AI assistance.

Is there anything more conclusive than that? That mostly sounds like a list of stylistic decisions or maybe simple oversights. With the previous image having eyes "pointed in the wrong direction" there's nothing seemingly unnatural about where that character is looking to me, it just looks like someone focused on smelling something. It seems a completely innocuous thing.

I know there are tools people have made to scan images for evidence of AI manipulation, has anyone actually evaluated this artists work with those perhaps? I'm not any kind of expert on this and maybe I'm just not being skeptical enough but nothing about this screams AI to me...

If I had a dollar for every time I have seen the "sketch" for an obvious AI piece and it was perfectly clean linework then I could retire tomorrow.

Anyways, my bet is on traced from AI.

Those AI detecting tools don't work, it's ironic really but the best way to detect AI is with the human eye.

thats from first telegram message for the sketch I recieved, the other piece was a ych, and this one was a comission. smh, really annoying to be claiming ai on the image. this is why I fucking hate Ai's in general. Like the artist normally doesn't do vagina's, they mostly do penis stuff. I was fortunate enough that they tried to draw a vagina.

Yeah
Like I dislike generated content as much as the next guy, but I really don't think the look of this is any different from this artist's other drawings.
There is no actual proof that this is generated, so we should take the artist's word that this is legit and hand drawn.

This is not what a "sketch" looks like, that's just the finished lineart on top of an unfinished background. Artists tracing AI can always make fake sketches like this because having your edits on separate layers just makes sense. I would be more impressed with something that actually looks like a sketch (but at this point, not immediately convinced.)

This looks exactly like what we've seen from other artists tracing AI, and in fact, is markedly different from earlier uploads including post #2134209 and https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44749962/.

The left part of the bed does not connect to the right part of the bed in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60681935/.

The emanata in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60679518/ have an extraordinarily high level of random noise that isn't otherwise found in other images including similar details. Their speech bubbles, thought bubbles, etc. are almost entirely white with no random noise! Also, the chain has no outline, which is particularly unusual from this artist, and my opinion is that they simply added it in post so that it just didn't look like a generic bear.

The background fence in https://www.furaffinity.net/view/58469861/ magically changes style halfway through, and the net just disappears behind the top character. The background is almost certainly AI-generated from these details, in which case the artist could release the background separately to prove that the characters aren't part of it, but the rest of their gallery is still highly suspicious.
