Kinda strange really. The site's rules for acceptable imagery are practically nonexistent, as long as you have the right aspect ratio or whatever. But the rules for acceptable comments under said imagery are more stringent than 1700's france.

You must be relatively new here then because posts and art with nazis have always existed in e621, atleast as far as 2007.

Of course you don't have to agree with me but i think a better way to handle this would be that for the people that get butthurt or is sensible with this sort of content instead of automatically posting their vomit on the comment section they should think twice before doing so and maybe start to ponder if it's worth the waste of time and breath critizicing images like this which shouldn't even be taken seriously in the first place.

TL:DR : It's better to ignore and blacklist any type of content that upsets you than create unnecesary drama, I learned that the hard way.

It always vexes me to see people look at this so seriously. I mean, does anyone complaining actually see what's going on in this, or does a switch go off that gives them tunnel vision when they see a swastika or a Charlie Chaplin mustache?

I guess it's instinct to think that if the image is posted without any critical comments, it could be like silently approving it. When whether drawn images are all excusable can be a huge debate.

It's like if somebody posted an image here saying "all people with this skin color deserve nothing" and you don't like racism and don't want the ideology to be "okay." But if you blacklist it to ignore the content it won't bother you, and that's better. Then you just gotta hope people don't take its message (if any) seriously. Images/drawings can have impact though, so it's like another big philosophical debate.
