20 March: The 2026 staff drive is now CLOSED! If you are selected to move forward, you will be contacted via DMail. Important note: this process takes a long time, usually several weeks. If you would like to know the status of your application after 10 April, feel free to contact me (Rainbow Dash).
24 February: Just as a heads up, we've updated our uploading guidelines to include a new entry. This was added to address a string of bad faith content that was exploiting our very permissive content standards.
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberJeez. If artists would allow people to pay easily using PayPal or similar services, there would be a lot less drama.

MemberFucking artists...

Memberha ha the expression in the last panel is great

MemberA shame paypal has left a bad taste in some people's mouths. And deadjackal, I'd be careful with that attitude, artists owe us nothing at all, to be honest.
TheListener
Member... which I say mere moments before I realize deadjackal is an artist too. People confuse me. I confuse me too.

BlockedArt, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. The quality of art is not related to the cost you might pay for it. Much freely distributed art is fantastic. If the artist sells their art, sharing or redistributing it is most certainly theft.
What it all boils down to is simple courtesy. A bit of common decency. Wether free or not, respecting the artists feelings, even if that means paying for the art, is the best way to encourage them to produce more.

Gotta say, though, I've been visiting this site for years, and this comic still cracks me up.

MemberFine then, if you won't grant the rights to redistribute your work, then I won't. But I certainly won't be spending money on your product, when there are tons of free alternatives that grant me distribution rights.
