Um... why is this rated as questionable? As far as I'm aware it's Safe? Or is the commiting of seppuku that makes this Questionable?

The visage of blood and self-violence makes this questionable. Blood/gore and violence can go up to explicit, it depends on context and imagery; in the opposite, a small consequential scratch or a minor nose bleed can still be tagged safe so long as there is no sexual context.

Or in shorthand: ratings are just as effected by blood in context as anything else.

Ah. D'alright. I thought that questionable just meant "Tits but no genitals, or just skimpy clothing, basically NSFW stuff that isn't sex" and Explicit means "genitals and/or sex".

On an unrelated note, seppuku is linked to an artist. Is there a better tag for it, or does the tag need to be disambiguated (or even both)?

Was planning on asking this this morning, but had to leave for my work. Stabbing_self wouldn't work as well, as it covers other sorts of stabs.

Seppuku is a specific form of self-gutting (by cutting open the abdomen), so that doesn't fit anyway.

I guess this would be some kind of self_impalement, though that tag doesn't exist (yet).

I thought Seppuku was stabbing oneself through the chest, not gutting.

Nah. They used a tanto to slice the stomach open, leading to massive blood loss and (usually) quick death.
