You can tell gender by the style of their snouts. The males have broader ones like Big Mac. I'm pretty certain she's female.

I can't find anything that lists Vinyl Scratch as anything more than an unofficial name, like Derpy Hooves.

I remember seeing a poll some where. They were voting on names and they decided that the name was Vinyl Scratch and her stage name was Pon3y

news flash:pony's with there heads and body shaped like that of the female pony's have just started appearing on the show....better be careful and who your hitting on ^_^

proof:a girly looking one appeared with derpy on the episode feeling pinki kleen and another one just appeared in in over a barrel.
