Topic: Unnecessary gendered tag (Sleeping)

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Personally I see some potential in those to disambiguate male/female in sleep_sex and sleep_molestation situations. And going through the few posts tagged so far, it does seem to be the intent, rather than going around tagging solo stuff.
Not unlike how [male/female]_[pred/prey] tags exist for vore.
There's even awake_male and awake_female tags: Definitely seems like that was the intent there.

Also I should call these two tags to attention, they'd need aliasing too:

sleeping_feral is already aliased, so no need to do anything in that regard.

I'm of the opinion that gendered tags are worth keeping for any situation that's significantly fetishized. It does actually matter which gender goes where in specific fetish situations.

This is true, but wouldn't dominant_male/dominant_female allow identifying that?

dominant_* only applies to BDSM-like scenarios (where a character is actively restraining or preventing their partner from denying the activity). A male having sex with (or about to have sex with) a sleeping female wouldn't/shouldn't be tagged dominant_male and submissive_female since being asleep isn't active restraint or prevention, unless we see the male actively make the female sleep (mind powers/hypnosis, drugging, etc, where it would apply). dominant_* and submissive_* tags are very overused/mistagged where characters are merely having (or about to have, or want to have) sex.

The fact those are so woefully undertagged is a separate problem...

Good point.

male_penetrating and female_penetrating work well enough.

I was talking about fetish situations more generally as per beholding's comment, but yeah like MkLXIV said male_penetrating and female_penetrating work for this one.
