Topic: Music tags?

Why dont music tags exist? It would be pretty easy to have a tag be like "song_artist/band_(music)"

Mostly, it's because e621 is a visuals-oriented booru site. Sound, be it sound effects, voice acting, and music, are less relevant to our purposes, so their tagging has been less of a priority. If we were to add in music tags, we'd first have to hammer out guidelines that won't annoy half the community and won't also make it difficult for curation. No one's bothered to step up to do that, yet, and if someone did that, I can make no guarantees that music tags would be added. If anything, we're going to prefer to keep the status quo.
