Topic: 'Technically' tags.

I just had this animation blocked by my blacklist due to being classified as 'male solo'.

I understand that in the picture on the wall behind the actual animation, there are males characters, but I somehow don't feel like this qualifies as 'male solo' because of that. I mean, if this *does* qualify as that, then it also doesn't because there's 'technically' more than one person in the animation if you count the people in the picture, right?

I think I've seen this a few other times as well, where something in the background, no matter how small or not the main focus of an image or animation, pushes things into blacklist territory. Someone will draw something small and unfocused in the background and count it as being part of the image (possibly to draw more views?) and it will fall into blacklisted territory.

This is, btw, why I found this in the first place, since I've found I have to turn off my blacklist to see what might be getting blocked that actually is fine. And though for the most part it's a small amount, things like this always slip through the cracks. Is there anything thatr can be done about it, or are things like this that 'technically' qualify for a tag just something that can't be changed?

Correct. If a character is prominent enough to tag their sex, form, or other attributes, they're prominent enough to count as a character for character count purposes. So either male or solo isn't correct.

I've gone ahead and removed male for now since, even if the characters in the background photo count, I don't think there's enough visible to classify them as male. If someone also wants to remove solo and add group and ambiguous_gender, they can.
