This feels rather excessive. wingless_dragon exists because dragons come in a variety of styles, there is no "canonical dragon", so this helps distinguish certain designs alongside eastern_dragon and wyvern.
In contrast, bats are real creatures. A tag like wingless_bat is akin to tagging tailless_fox or clawless_cat, which would lead to a bunch of other <feature>less_<species> tags that can quickly get out of hand.
