Reason: All comics are comics.

I don't think we need tags for the specific number of panels a comic page has. They should be aliased instead.

I think for two panels maybe, but the rest seem excessive, yeah.

Reason: We don't need these

At most, I could see some of the smaller ones, mainly because they are more distinct sometimes vs a full comic page. Like 2, 3, and 4. Those can be more distinctive layouts, so there might be some merit, which might be part of why they've had more use too.

Especially since comic pages with more panels than that are actually far more common, but that's not what people are bothering to tag or use. Which makes sense, because anything more than 4 is basically just a comic page and there isn't much difference between a 6 or an 8 or a 12 panel page so why bother to count them? So I think that also confirms that most of those can just be aliased away.

I was going to say we could also use something like comic_strip for shorter/newspaper strip styled stuff, but apparently that got blank aliased to comic way back in 2015 with seemingly no discussion.

I think if we had a tag to distinguish between something like 3 panels in a single page "comic" and a full on multi page comic, that would be infinitely more useful than numbering the panels

Creating a tag for multi page comics kinda runs into some issues since we're supposed to consider each post separately, but a tag for single page comics while theoretically still having that issue would probably be easier to swallow

comic strip sounds like the perfect tag for single page comics
