I find the diffeence between the responces here and other simmilar sites interesting. On a place like Rule34's forums there's alot more people who are very open, passionate, and detailed with their responses where as here the responces are more downplayed and tryically just "sex" if they mention anything sexual at all. And there are quite a few people making relateable jokes about "adulting" (I hate that word but I can't find a better one atm) or straight up refusal to engadge with the question. I have some ideas as to why this is. For one, it could judt be me, but I feel like furries have both stranger and a large set of desires thsn the average hentai enjoyer, which making singling out one as "their fanatasy" very diffict (this is speaking from personal experience, lol), it could also be the case that many people's ideal fantasty cannot be preformed in real life. I also think another part of it is what registers to me as the average age between both sites. I don't have ant numbers on this but I've gotten the feeling thst the average age of this sote's userbase is around their mid 20s to early 30s, whereas Rule34's is in their late teens (18, 19, you get the picture). People tend to mellow out by thst age and are less willing to be openly sexualy. It's also the case thst site rule discourage things like horny-posting as well as the fact that e621 isn't strictly a porn site.
There's nothing wrong with this being the case. It might actually be better, frankly. I just thought it was worth noting down and sharing my two cents. I probably said something extraordinarily stupid haha.

Anecdotally, I think there's been 3 times I've posted a comment to Rule34.xxx, and EVERY* time it was met with a horny person trying to slip into my DMs (and every time I didn't even notice until well after the fact, but that's neither here nor there). e621 actively strives to have productive community-based discussions, rather than the pure gooner babble that you'd expect on most porn sites.

I made brief mention of the site direction/rules/culture what have you toward the end of my oal post, though now thst I really think about it, I'm pretty confident that that is the determining factor. To be honest, most of what I wrote original was a pure stream of consciousness, lmao. While i do feel that it can be a bit restrictive, I do ultimately like the constructive, community-driven culture here. This is a really wierd and silly way to describe a porn site, but I'd definitely say E6 is one of the more intellectual and professional ones. The closest comparison I can make to a real world organization would be a Renaissance or Victorian era gentlemens' club, whereas R34 is more like a seedy no-frills strip-club. I'd argue that that has something to do with the communities they came out of, furries being more intellectual while weebs, which founded R34 are generally more cude. That, of course is a massivs oversimplification, but that's what I see. I find it interesting to compare the weeb and furry communities(esepically how they kind of went to war with eachother in the late 2010s) because they sort of started as one. I think I'll shut up here because I'm getting way off topic from the original point of the thread, but these are things I really quite like to think about and discuss.

ive used rule 34 before i got banned and i can confirm the entire site is atrocious. i genuinely believe that rule 34 practically acts as containment for the worst gooners to walk amongst us, so i also believe rule 34 having barely any moderation is a good thing so those "people" arent forced out and dont spread outwards into other sites just to roleplay or (worst case scenario) interact with people in real life.

It's really strange honestly. You look at porn artists doing the most degenerate stuff on social media and art galleries, and the comments aren't that bad. You go on fetishy real life porn videos and (overall) it's not as bad. You go on other boorus...you get the picture. There's something extremely cursed about that website specifically. Now that I think about it, suppose it's specifically the roleplay aspect which brings out so many revolting comments. It gets really bad for fetishes or more ambiguous subjects.
