Reason:

Less spoilery name. Anybody who hasn't played Other M wouldn't know who Little Birdie secretly is, and even somebody who just started playing might want to see art of him without being spoiled.

Little Birdie should also imply metroid since he's a character from the franchise.

We generally don't take spoilers into account when naming characters, but I'm not very familiar with the franchise. What's the significance of ridley versus "little birdie"?

Little Birdie is the nickname for Ridley's larval stage when cloned

Take a look at post #593368. Ridley undergoes a sort of metamorphosis as he ages, sort of like a Pokemon's evolutionary process, only instead of spectacular lights, he sheds his old form like a gorey cocoon.

+1 characters are usually linked to franchise/copyright anyway, clones or not.

I don't understand why people are so against Other M. It was a 3D/2D fusion, and played perfectly as one. Were you guys all expecting either a pure 2D or pure 3D game, and can't understand the point of the fusion of their styles? About the only thing I can really complain about is the Concentration mechanic, I really wish they had just kept with item drops.

The biggest quip people have with the game is how it portrays Samus Aran. People like her as a (mostly) silent protagonist, yet she appeared a bit feeble.

I don't care honestly. I liked Other M, even if it was on the short side.

I'll probably like Metroid Prime: Federation Force as well, and flip people off for not giving it a chance because they judged a book by its cover.

If it ends up being a multiplayer only game I'm gonna hate it just for that. Still will probably watch somebody else play it and judge its content separately, but I hate MP only games.

Judging by the trailer, aside from the MP compatible colors, instead of playing as the famous bounty hunter, the Federation sent Power-suit inspired prototype wearing soldiers to the planet (Though that was probably because you can't really have multiple Samus Arans).

I believe they've stated Federation Force will be entirely playable solo, but it'll be harder as the game is multi focused. I'm curious what else they're working on at the moment though I do like the look of Federation Force. They had stated that they were currently working on Metroid games in both styles (Classic and Prime) and if Federation Force is the Prime, what do they have in works for the classic style?
