@Siral_Exan: oh and a diamond whetstone is a decent way to shape a stone.
@Siral_Exan: Diamond burs and a rotary tool is probably your best bet, lapidary machines are better but much more expensive.
Unfortunately I'm more of a metal smith than a gem cutter so my advice will be limited.
