Character: dr. jack bright

Dr. Jack Bright is a character from the mythos of the SCP Foundation website. His debut story, SCP-963 — Immortality, was posted in November 2008 by a disgraced former administrator, TheDuckman AKA "AdminBright", and was depreciated March 2026 due to the author's abuse of real-world minors.

The character and SCP-963 were used by the author as a self-insert for sexual fantasies involving minors. Due to the character and its creator's prominence in the site's history, Dr. Jack Bright cannot be fully expunged from the SCP Wiki, but efforts to mitigate TheDuckman's legacy are being made. This includes retcons by active members to their own works, including two reimaginings of the character bereft of TheDuckman's involvement: Dr. Elias Shaw and later Dr. Lachlan Cairns.
