noose neckwear
Noose neckwear is when one or more characters are wearing a noose, a fragment of one, or a short fragment of rope tied into a slipknot or other similar knot, as an article of clothing or accessory around the neck (such as a necktie, ascot, choker, or similar).

The noose is depicted as loose (with slack or dangling ends) or tightened only to the extent it functions as a choker, with no signs of discomfort, asphyxiation, constriction marks, or any context of actual hanging (past, present, or imminent). It is treated as purely decorative or fashionable.
This tag applies regardless of outfit style or character expression, as long as the noose/fragment functions visually as intentional neckwear rather than a tool for hanging.
Examples
- A character in formal attire with a noose tied and hanging down the front like a conventional necktie.
- A character wearing a shortened noose fragment wrapped or knotted like an ascot or scarf.
- A character with a short fragment of a noose looped tightly but around the neck as a choker-style accessory, often in goth, punk, or ironic fashion contexts.
- Group scenes where multiple characters wear noose neckwear as part of a themed outfit (e.g., executioner motif without actual execution).
- Close-ups emphasizing the noose as jewelry-like or clothing detail, with relaxed posture and no distress indicators.
Do not use this tag for
- Images where the noose is actively suspending a character by the neck or providing constricting force via body weight (use hanged instead).
- Images showing recent aftermath of hanging with ligature still around the neck or bruising (use after hanging instead).
- Situations where the noose is being placed or used for imminent hanging (use imminent hanging instead).
- Depictions where the noose causes visible discomfort, choking, asphyxiation effects, or is part of erotic breath restriction (use asphyxiation, erotic asphyxiation, or related tags instead).
- Generic neckwear or items that are not clearly intended to represent a noose or similar (use necktie, choker, collar, etc. instead).
- Any hanging-related context where a character is wearing it as accessory (tag the hanging aspect separately if applicable, but prioritize the dominant action).
Not to be confused with
- imminent hanging: Preparation for hanging with noose around neck.
- hanged: A character currently suspended by the neck.
- after hanging: Evidence of prior hanging, with ligature or marks present.
- necktie: Conventional fabric necktie without noose structure.
- choker: Tight neck accessory that is not specifically a noose/fragment.
