Bubsy Bobcat also known as Bubsy the Bobcat is the main protagonist of the Bubsy series by Atari.

Bubsy has the appearance of an anthropomorphic orange bobcat. Historically, his attire consists of a white t-shirt with a red exclamation mark on the front. In Bubsy 4D however, his attire has been updated to that of white blazer with a red necktie that resembles an upside down exclamation mark.

His powers include jumping, gliding, sliding, and inflating into a giant hairball.

Bubsy's personality is emblematic of the stereotypes and trends associated with many 3D Platformer Mascot video game characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot, and Gex. He is a loud mouth, wise-cracking, troublemaker with an attitude. His character is best punctuated with his catchphrase, "What could possibly go wrong?" Many critics of the series has viewed Bubsy's character as obnoxious and unfunny, to the point that latter games in the series have offered to option to mute his dialogue entirely.

Many of the games in his series have performed poorly and his series was considered all but ended until 2025 when it was announced that Bubsy would return in Bubsy 4D, which would release in May of 2026. The game notably acknowledges his franchises history and seeks to rectify many of the game's flaws. Bubsy in turn has had his personality altered, becoming a bit more mature and less obnoxious.
