Character: duque (turma da monica)

Duque is Bidu’s best friend, appearing as a supporting character in various stories; this gentle and friendly little dog serves as the protagonist’s great companion on his adventures, much like Computer is to Astronaut and Bolota is to Piteco.
The little dog, of a breed similar to a Basset, always invites Bidu to chase tyres and bark, scaring others and, in his daydreams, trying to understand how the world his friend lives in works (since Bidu’s stories are full of metalanguage, blurring the lines between the real world of Mauricio de Sousa Produções and the comics), causing him to interpret everything around him in the strangest possible way.
