egg insertion

The act of implanting eggs inside the body via the use of tentacles, an ovipositor and possibly vaginal contact or manual insertion in rarer cases. Because of the nature of the act, instances of this where the eggs cause the receiving partner's belly to stretch should be considered as pregnancy rather than inflation.

Serves as a common justification for male pregnancy.

Not to be confused with

• oviposition - In many cases, egg insertion can also be considered oviposition, but the terms are not interchangeable. Oviposition focuses on the process of laying an egg, while egg_insertion focuses on the insertion of eggs into the body regardless of the method.
