Species: scuttlebug
A spider-like enemy from the game Super Mario 64. It has had a recent gain in popularity due to being involved in a complicated series of glitches to save a press of the A button done by pannenkoek2012, which became a meme due to the oddness of the steps required. These included Mario repeatedly slamming into a Scuttlebug to reposition its home point, as well as Mario warping between parallel universes.
