Topic: Tag alias: limbotern -> li_(pixiv)

The tag alias #82272 limbotern -> li_(pixiv) is pending approval.

Reason: Last night I accidentally ended up uploading a duplicate post (https://e621.net/posts/6280170, still needs to be deleted btw) using the artist tag "limbotern" only to be told later by a friend that it had already been posted before (https://e621.net/posts/3078380) years prior to the artist tag "li_(pixiv)". They are the same artist, it's just that one tag comes from their twitter account named limbotern and the other from their pixiv.

I just want an alias to be made so people like me don't accidentally make a duplicate post again when uploading their art via twitter.

By the way, on the "li_(pixiv)" page (https://e621.net/artists/61327) it already says that they have an Other Name of "limbotern". ....does this mean there is already an alias...? If so, it's not working. Idk. I'm just a confused lizard trying their best. Sorry if this whole forum post is pointless.

I thought that at first, but I think it's just there to let you know that the artist goes by multiple names. If it were an alias they could be added/removed without any feedback, and artists who separate NSFW and SFW using different names wouldn't be able to do so here.

On pixiv, the artist goes by "lim'" so I'd rather swap it with a fuller one since the "(pixiv)" suffix is should only used if there're 2 artists with the same name but active on different site.

Yeah if this gets accepted it'd be neat if the original name of li_(pixiv) can be changed. Would kill two birds with one stone, or rather solve two issues with one forum post :P

Oh you can reject your own request and create a BUR instead. BURs can't be attached to existing forums. If you put forum topic number (in this case 62910) when submitting, it'll appear right here.
