Topic: [Feature request] Add a second sign in option for artist (immediate verification)

Not sure if this was requested before, but I notice that many self made/published artists requesting to change their tag name via BURs aren't verified or knew that there's the option.

So I propose that when they're signing up for the first time, there will be two options, one for "normal" users and one with the text box "Are you an artist bla bla bla" and if they choose the latter, they will have to fill out their artist links/website, account name and prefered tags if they aren't taken (There's gonna be suggestions for them if their names IS taken).

Any thoughts on this?

Yeah... no, I'm with Donovan. We do hope to add some sort of optional onboarding process, so maybe we could add this if we make that, but making this on its own? Not really worth it.

For context, the impetus for the current vague onboarding idea is to have people set up their blacklists properly to begin with; this is a million slots lower on the list of concerns. We'll just tell them about verification when we notice them.

Linking to this page when someone posts for the very first time sounds helpful at least. Considering many artists failing to add 10 gen tags and use the correct ratings, I doubt most people read uploading guidelines and other links on the uploading page.

Sounds like a better and simpler way to implement it. Tho I would like to add that link on their profile’s settings/about page in case they wanted to revisit it.
