create implication magica_de_spell (311) -> ducktales (3175)

Reason: Rework of request above; imply the character to its origin animated series ducktales from which it then implies disney.

magica_de_spell -> ducktales -> disney

magica_de_spell -> ducktales -> disney

Or to be more precise, the Uncle Scrooge comics that predate the original Ducktales by decades. Although owned by the Disney Company, she was originally created by the Duck Man himself, Carl Barks.

I'm not too familiar with the franchise so I'd like to seek guidance on possible reworks for this imply request. Just in case, would the proposed imply go like this?

imply magica_de_spell -> uncle_scrooge_(comic) imply uncle_scrooge_(comic) -> disney imply magica_de_spell -> ducktales #(currently implies disney)

I think the original suggestion is the best since she present in multiple disney series and disney fracnises. Ducktales implication would be worst since she is not exclusive to ducktales, and did not originate from ducktales.

outside of, like, cameo appearances? I know we generally keep characters who mainly appear as a character in one thing as implying that one thing despite having small/occasional/guest appearances in other stuff.

She is regular major character (she belongs to the "staple villain roster") and occasionally the main character in several of the various duck comic series.

Personally, I'd just go with your original request, with

imply magica_de_spell -> disney

Yes, like Scrooge McDuck, the Beagle Boys, and Gyro Gearloose, among others, she originated in Carl Barks' Duck comics, but modern audiences heavily associate her with the two Ducktales series. Both Scrooge and Gyro imply Disney directly but no particular media, so I'd say we should follow their precedent.

(It turns out the Beagle Boys don't imply Disney when they should. On the other hand, all of the individually named Beagle Boys (Burger, Bigtime, Baggy, etc.) should imply their Ducktales series. In the original comics, no Beagle Boy was named beyond their prison number (eg. "167-761") or made all that distinctive personality-wise (beyond one obsessed with eating prunes) with the sole exception of Grandpa AKA Blackheart Beagle.)

This depends a lot on the audience, because in Europe they are not really associated with Ducktales at all (Duckatales is primarily known through the occasional Ducktales comics in the comic magazines and the occasional cartoons that may air depending on the country, and it's largely seen as offshoot of the actual comics rather as the "primary thing"), and instead these characters are known primarily from the various comic magazines and comic books. Associating these characters with Ducktales is primarily US only thing, because the comics are significantly less popular over there partially because of the far bigger control Disney holds over the comic publication than it does in Europe, where it's more lax due to the deals Disney has done in past with comic publishers.

TL;DR: Seeing Ducktales as the "main thing" is primarily US thing, while in rest of the world (hyperbolic statement) Ducktales is mostly seen as small and weird spin off based on the primary comics.

This is true. European comics have taken Disney characters in directions the US hasn't, from something as simple as crossovers with Disney movies that otherwise are in different continuities to continuing stories of Donald Duck as the reasonably competent superhero Paperinik.
