Topic: I wish to upload

Posted under General

Are AI generated images allowed to be uploaded by me? Or would that be copyright infringement? Who would I keed to ask permission from? GPT said they are mine legally because i created the script. I got questionable Pikachu yiff out of it.
Any response at your earliest is convenience would be appreciated.

Friendly reminder that LLMs are not lawyers, and that they are very often confidently incorrect, just like with this

With AI generated images there is no copyright, a human did not create it, and copyright does not exist for things not made by humans
The only copyrights involved are the likeness of the characters you're using

If a work is solely generated by an AI and lacks human authorship, there is no copyright protection and therefore no one can own the copyright to the generated work because it is in the public domain. Applying these principles, the U.S. Copyright Office will refuse to register any work that is solely generated by AI. A federal district court, in upholding the Office’s decision to refuse registration for such a work, affirmed these principles. In other words, a work generated by the AI is in the public domain.

Or any identifiable pieces of an original work the AI was trained on and happened to regurgitate out.

Yeah, AI are being trained to say 'I don't know' more than stating false information with authority, but they were originally trained to avoid admitting a lack of knowledge. Apparently either early users, or the developers, did not want them to say 'I don't know'.

That's changed, but AI will still sometimes hiccup. It's better to treat ChatGPT like in interactive search engine, and to have at least a little knowledge of what your asking it, so you can avoid the slip-ups.

And as people said; AI art is not allowed here. Try e6ai.

BTW, unless you asked ChatGPT some bizarre questions, it would not have told you that art is legally yours. Because, legally, AI art is not copyrightable. And ChatGPT knows this.
