The tag alias #81707 pda -> personal_digital_assistant has been rejected.

Reason: abbreviation for the personal digital assistant device

EDIT: The tag alias pda -> personal_digital_assistant (forum #479862) has been rejected by @furrypickle.

I checked most of the 24 posts that were tagged pda. One was seemingly for "public display of affection", but all the others were for personal_digital_assistant. Actually, it's FOUR that are for "public display of affection".

Should be disambiguated imo, showing my (lack of) age here but I've only ever heard it used to mean public display of affection

PDAs as a concept came and went pretty quick. it was only handful of years after the first BlackBerry in '99 that the niche got kinda overtaken by more compact and versatile cellphones, and ultimately pretty much entirely deprecated by smartphones.

even if someone was around in the 2000s, I'd really not be surprised if they managed to avoid knowing about them.
