Topic: What tags are good for more "wholesome" work?

Posted under Off Topic

Sometimes when I'm scrolling e621 just for the sake of commenting unfunny jokes I come across stuff that makes me think "damn, that's cute." However, those posts (most of the time) aren't really separated or distinguishable whatsoever from the other content, making it somewhat hard to find definitive tags that show that (also with the "wholesome" tag being invalid). LET ME BE CLEAR that even though my name is legit "TheGoonGuardian" I am not going to goon to said tags, as I am rather thinking this forum could be useful for other people who want to see things that will not trigger post-nut clarity to a degree where it hits them like a pickup truck. Also, it would preferably be good if those tags wouldn't contradict others too much, because I wouldn't be surprised if some people are into stuff like BDSM (this is a bad example due to it primarily being based on power dynamics, thus by default contradicting the concept of "wholesomeness" to a degree) but still wish to see content that is a bit tamer, but also not wanting 98.14% of work tagged with stuff like that to immediately be wiped. I will list a couple of tags that I have in mind (will likely edit this as others mention some tags or I think of them myself):

Tags

romantic/romantic_ambience/romantic_couple
explicitly_stated_consent
afterglow/aftercare
intimate
daww (recommended by Manitka, preliminary search indicates it heavily limits the amount of Suggestive and/or Explicit content but it's still good if you just want to see cute things)
term_of_endearment
i_love_you
happy_sex/gentle_sex
gentle_femdom (pairs somewhat good with the "bdsm" tag)
tag_group:romance (somehow just noticed that this existed, but then again it is limited to mainly romance and not what would be "wholesome")

Yeah, sort of sucks that any tags that describe gentler scenarios have a dependency on others and their selective beliefs on what qualifies as "cute" and whatnot.

There are tags for gentle content, just like there are tags for extreme content; there's just no tags for subjective qualifiers because that's not the point of tags. We do the same thing for sexy, attractive, badass, etc.

I'd say searching for public sets like fluffysoup's is the better option, as this sort of goal is exactly what they exist for; try going here & searching the name/short name/description for stuff like *cute*, *d*aww*, *wholesome*, etc.

set #12422 exists for what was in cute before it was invalidated, but it hasn't had any new posts in the last 7 years
