goatse, it brings across the wrong imagery imo (I have never seen the goatse image but I bet it's as gross as it's implied to be). Like not all the posts in it are necessarily even made to have a disturbing look, spread_anus is a fairly popular tag on here.

Or we could specify the tag so it only means a spread anus that is drawn in a disturbing and freaky way, since there are a lot of that kind of there. Like the crowded popping detail or truly massive "hyper" anus spreads. Though would the term still be good for that, again I've never seen the original shock image.
I think it's worthwhile to have a tag to differentiate this:

The posts in the goatse tag are fairly consistent with that theming. spread_anus usually refers to much less extreme examples. It could use a different name, perhaps, but it's evocative of what it represents, and the second image is pretty close to what goatse does actually look like, in vibes at least.

Yea, I only realized that a bit later as I initially posted this based on looking at post thumbnails on the wiki's recent posts. Turns out looking at small thumbnails isn't always a good way to judge.

The wiki already meant this in a way sorta, though I think it could need some more wording describing the very large spread anuses it's referring to.
I already removed the tag from a few posts for being "tame" like post #5869169 and post #5870746 since they are not really extreme in gapes.
Why doesn't goatse imply spread anus?
Also, if this tag needs to exist it should probably be aliased to a more descriptive tag. I think most people would assume a tag called "goatse" to refer to drawovers/recreations of the original image itself.

Hm, seeing a potential issue where this tag gets used for both images directly referencing the meme and images that just involve hands to pull a really wide/extreme gape without posing/framing that makes it clearly a reference.
