Are they? Frankly they look more like sharks than most furry sharks.
I checked the tag, and only small portion of the posts contain anything I would consider resembling as some sort of pig. Most look more like sharks and fish of some sort, and some look like ambiguous mammalian anthro equivalent of orcs.
The design from A2 is very shark-like, this is true, but they're pigs, I promise. FF12's design is far more piggish, they snort, they grunt, they hunt for truffles in some games, etc...
edit with further context: I went to double-check, and the in-game description they're given in FFTA2 literally states them as "A portly, porcine race"
I can see it, at least from a quick perusal of my own. The legs and tail are certainly hoggish. They typically have tusks like hogs do. About the only thing that I see that they generally share with furry "sharks" is the snout, but still manages to resemble a stylized version of a hog's honker.

Though what canon says is not exactly the biggest factor here. With fictional species the appearance and how artists choose to depict them tends to bear far more weight than designer intent.

Note: Like a lot of fantasy races, while their canon source might claim a specific real life species that it was inspired by... actual depictions and styles will vary while still resembling the fictional species, with many taking inspiration from entirely other animal group inspirations.
In this case, while some of the images of seeqs have porcine traits, many others look far more sharklike. I doubt this is what people searching for porcines are looking to find in their search results. So it is better to simply tag those images manually when it shows a strong porcine resemblance, and to leave it off of seeq images that don't really resemble porcines.
