Topic: Question about uploading the rest of S.Expedition

Posted under General

The rest of the comic as of January 12th, 2026.
e6 already has the first 60 pages, I have another 649 (Up to Page 709).

Just want to know if it's fine for me to start doing that, since the uploading guidelines were a little confusing on that front due to the "Artist permission" and "Webcomics" sections.
Up to Page 688 is up for public on Luscious & Hentai-Foundry, which is the last page I'd upload.

Edit: I don't know what category to put this in...

Yeah, this category is fine for general questions about the site.

According to the Uploading Guidelines, the exact quote in regard to webcomics is:

  • Webcomics are allowed as long as not the entire comic is mirrored here, meaning only up to a maximum of five (5) pages total.
    • A webcomic counts as any comic that is exclusively hosted on their own page, exclusively hosted on a webcomic host, or monetized through ads.

This means for uploading webcomics, you are only allowed to post up to 5 pages in total.*
Webcomics are defined as any comics that are hosted on their own dedicated websites or being monitised through web traffic to said site.
This is distinct from regular comics which are usually posted on an art gallery site (e.g., FurAffinity) or social media site (e.g., Twitter), which are not restricted by this rule.

Now, here are a few things to consider if you want to post the comic in question:

  • 1) Is your comic considered as a "webcomic" under e621's uploading guidelines?
    • See if the website contains anything other than the comic (e.g., commissions, fanarts, etc.).
    • If it is just that comic and nothing else, then it is very likely considered as a "webcomic".
  • 2) To bypass the 5 page limit, you need to acquire permissions from the artist themselves to repost their comic here.
    • This should not be assumed just because more than 5 pages already exist here.
    • It is to cover your own back should the comic get deleted due to the above rule.
  • 3) You should strictly post from primary sources whenever possible (i.e., the artist's own website/gallery), see howto:source.
    • Just because something could be publicly accessed doesn't mean it is obtained through authorised means. For example, I believe "Luscious" contains a lot of pirated content.
    • You risk posting pirated/leaked commercial content that is not released by the artist themselves, should you choose to repost from secondary sources. However, that may be the only choice if the artist had removed their presence online, so be cautious.

Good advice. I'd also add that even with permission, if the artist does a takedown, you're going to have your upload limit dip into the negatives. Guess how I know. ;)

If it was deemed that it is not entirely your fault, you can simply ask for an admin to restore your upload limit.

I'm operating under the assumption that what's on Luscious & H-F is all above-board for this specific comic, since they both stop at Page 688, while the newest on Patreon is 709.

Based on what I can see with the Patreon, this may not be completely accurate though, since one of the perks of upgrading (From Free) is access to the webcomic (Labeled such on Patreon).

Seemingly can't contact the artist directly. No DM option on Patreon, can't comment on posts (Not a paying member), don't know if they have Twitter and I don't use it anyways.

Edit: They are a member on H-F, and the pages are up for public there (Along with at least 2 other comics), which Luscious labels the public release.
The last time they logged in (Accord to the line on their profile) was Oct.2024 though, so can't contact them through that either.

I guess I'll upload Page 61 and see how that goes.

If the artist could not be reached due to inactivity, then you'd just have to roll the dice.
I believe H-F should be fine since it is not really a proper dedicated webpage or webcomic host.

Also, don't set the new post as a child to the last page posted here. That is not the proper way of using e621:Post Relationships and you should be using e621:Pools instead.
If you can't find the pool's name when clicking on "Add to pool", then it is due to the pool being closed as inactive.
You will need to access the pool from the last page (i.e., pool #5798), click on Edit on the top, tick "Is active", and then update the pool before it will reappear.

Ah.
I'll add it to the pool then, I thought I wasn't supposed to until it was approved.

Don't worry. You can add a post to a relevant pool once you've uploaded it. If anything, doing so can sometimes help with approval.
