Topic: Wasn't this artist on the do not post list?

I could swear I remember Jasonafex's stuff and his two uh "partners", were all removed from e6 but I came across a good portion of it today. I also can't seem to find a place on the site to tell me who's on the do not post list so that I can verify they still are banned from their art being displayed here, before I go and report the posts for deletion.

If they were unbanned, why? They haven't suddenly stopped ... all the bad things that they were.. I don't wish to debate what they did or anything so I'll leave it at just that.

If they are still banned, how did so much slip past the ban list?

Oh, that sucks. I thought because he was a tremendously bad person, he would have been removed forever. Oh well, I guess if the company that owns this place wants to support him and what he does then by all means leave his crap here.

The presence of someone's artwork on the site doesn't mean the site's staff or Bad Dragon "supports" or agrees with them and everything they've done. e621 isn't a site for promoting artists via sharing their work, merely a curated art gallery. We credit the artist and link back to their homepages out of common courtesy.

separating the artist from their art is something so many people here need to learn
many artists are pieces of shit in their own right but their art is fine, iirc jasonafex asked to be dnp on his own years ago and while removal was denied for a while, time moved on and the drama simmered down

Sure, separating the artist from their work would be a good idea. Unless it gave that artist more fame and popularity to cling to, in order to spread their influence still and hope that people forget the bad things they did just because they give nice porn. Its kind of a sucky situation really. I like their art too, but I also remember the terrible things they have done and still do. They won't stop, because they are too good at what they also do art wise and will constantly have at least some form of fanbase to keep them going.

But ah well. Its up to the staff I guess. I just wanted to say my piece on it.

The point of the site isn't to be the arbiter of who's a good person and who isn't, the site only forcefully removes artists when they are a danger to the site or the staff, and the amount of times that has happened could be counted on your hands

Everyone is more than welcome to blacklist whoever they want for whatever reason they like, but we aren't here to hear about what you don't like about X artist, or what Y artist did, how Z artist is a piece of shit, etc

My first instinct was far more aggressive a response to the "wants to support him" line, but kept to polite language. That was pretty rude and out-of-line thing to say, Vas. People aren't supporting anything. :/
