Topic: Slight discrepancy between tag definitions for older/younger_gender and age_difference tags and their implication?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Whereas the wiki's definition for younger_male, older_male, younger_female, and older_female seems to imply that the tags fit even if the respective characters are within the same age group, the wiki definition for age_difference explicitly states that the tag is only for when the respective characters are within a different age group. This would make the implication of age_difference inaccurate as per the wiki for posts where despite characters having an age difference between them, they are within the same age group.

the age_difference definition would seem to be more precise and accurate. these are for situations where the characters are effectively any of the following:

  • young characters diffrent stages of development
  • an adult character with a young character
  • two adult characters from different "generations"

I think most of the time the "younger" tag is used is actually a mistag for "young anthro/male/female" lol
