Topic: Start of My Second Opinion thread / Rating Review

Posted under General

Since I don't want to earn another "infraction" I'm going to be using this thread as a gauge of what rating I should put on artwork just in case...

And I'll start with something simple and use the artwork below as a example (sadly I haven't figured out how to get it too show, so I'll provide the link)

I'm thinking safe but I do think that this version of "The Withered Bonnie" can be considered suggestive/questionable?

He looks kinda like what I could best describe as "Beefcake" I think, I'm leaning on safe despite the suggestiveness but like I said that's just a example of what I'll use this thread for

Just use the following code:

thumb #

followed by the post ID of the post you want to thumbnail. For example,

thumb #6038592

Beefcake isn't inherently suggestive. He's just standing there, holding a gift. There's nothing suggestive going on. It's definitely Safe to me.

This is also Safe to me. She's just comically acting like a cat.

Maybe read the message written on your record or e621:Ratings? It can't be that hard to follow.

Let's put it this way:

  • "Safe" posts are those that you could potentially show to your friends and family without raising an eyebrow.
  • "Questionable" posts are those that seem a little suggestive and may not be appropriate to display out in public, but also not severe enough that it would land you in trouble.
  • "Explicit" posts will get you into trouble if you displayed it in public, or at the very least, get you a lot of side-eye.

This is Safe. Someone can be a beefcake in public without making people uncomfortable.
It could also be argued that this is not fetishistic in any way.

This one lands closer to Questionable for me, but Safe is also fine.
Going out in public with a similar attire/appearance could get you a few raised eyebrows.

Technically speaking, this does falls into Safe-levels of "cartoon nudity" or "non-suggestive artwork containing characters in underwear or swimwear."
However, this may also fall into Questionable-levels of "characters wearing revealing clothing with obvious erotic or teasing intent" due to the amount of exposed skin and full_cleavage.

So... post #6071342

I feel like this is questionable right? I'm not seeing why it should be rated explicit but I don't want to make a mistake so, what's everyone else's opinion?

Could this be considered safe - the next part I'm definitely rating questionable of course (her areola are exposed in the next part so it can't ever be considered safe)

Iffy, but I tend to feel it's intended to be fairly suggestive rather than cute or something like that. Best to go with Questionable.

I'm going to go on a limb and say this is Safe

It's more humourous and cute rather than erotic

Yeah, I'd go with Safe. Nothing's showing and there's nothing suggestive going on.

These two are safe right? It's more humorous and cute rather than erotic... Same as the one above

(Also Its two of em because I was trying to get one into GIF form whilst also keeping the quality pretty much the same, I... Don't think I got it exactly but hopefully someone will offer help)

I'd say Questionable since this is essentially streaking/public_nudity and possibly exhibitionism due to the blush.

I think that's debatable in my opinion, just cause it has nudity doesn't mean it's automatically questionable... Especially if it's portrayed as more cute and/or humorous so long as everything is covered, but that's just me
