I casually collect, mostly just wheat Pennies and what not. Used to work fast food and got tons of cool stuff including an Indian head penny from 1907 and a buffalo nickel.

I just really like Pennies mostly, been obsessed with them since childhood for an unknown reason lol.

Unfortunately lost a lot of stuff while cleaning my apartment out to move :c

I have some Indian rupees my husband brought me and some Filipino money too!

I have several wheat pennies
Never come across and Indian head penny
Oldest thing in my collection is a late 1890’s barber dollar

I love foreign money, I have gold and silver coins from South Korea, South Africa, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Canadá. And a few from the UK

I definitely want some barber dimes and that sort of stuff at some point!

For foreign money I have some Canadian cash and coins, Indian cash and coins, I have some coins from Japan, china, Bahamas I believe, Mexico, and a bunch of places, just hard to remember off the top of my head, I’ll take a look in the closet later see if I can find my foreign money. I also collect non money coins like commemorative coins but i only have like 2 of those.

Unfortunately my husband accidentally dumped my foreign money and my penny collection into the change jar over a year ago and I still haven’t finished sorting them out x’D

I have a decent collection of silver (steel) pennies. Similarly, I have a good collection of quarters and dollar coins as well.

In a way, I also have a collection of random foreign coins, but I don't collect from one country in particular there. Just whatever happens to show up in my loose change.

Not gonna lie

I cringed so hard reading “unfortunately my husband accidentally…”
I assumed the worst and thought he had dumped it in one of those coin machines lol
Glad you still have them

I have a few halves. Same with quarters. No luck in the dimes department yet, but I still go to the bank everyone once in a while to get rolls of change when I have downtime to sort through larger quantities outside of what I just find laying around.

That’s something I’ve always wanted to do
How often do you come across some silver or collectible pieces

Sadly not too often. That being said, it's always an exciting find when I do.

I also collect $2 bills, but with those I don't find them as much anymore since I don't cashier anymore (I would keep a bunch of 1s in my wallet incase anyone tried to pay with a $2 bill, since there wasn't a slot for them in the till).

when I worked service there was a guy who always tipped with a 2$ and if anyone else served him they'd come trade me for two 1$'s i miss that shit

Well
Gold is at an all time high
Broke 3k late last month
Currently at 3220

Hopefully silver skyrockets too

Not to bump my own thread but I wanted to announce it somewhere
Gold is on the cusp of $4300 USD per Troy ounce
And silver is kissing $58 USD per Troy ounce

Not gonna lie
Ironically Feel kinda sick thinking I’m about to pay nearly 5 times per silver coin from when I started collecting
