Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: anonymous -> anon

The tag alias #51588 anonymous -> anon has been rejected.

Reason: Some of the art under anonymous tag are of 4chan and Tumblr Anon which go under Anon. I'm not entirely sure if it covers those that shouldn't be tagged as Anon but Faceless_Male or Faceless_Female

It's too ambiguous, it should be invalidated instead. It can mean an anonymous artist or character, or it can be an ambiguous species or unknown artist.

I disagree, Anon is a character. 4chan and Tumblr Anon are characters that represent us, so to speak. I wouldn't want that to be invalidated just 'cause ya think it's ambiguous. I happen to like the tag because of Anon

Green Anon and Shades Anon are the best.

anon is a character, yes, but anonymous is too ambiguous, as it says in its wiki:

An ambiguous tag. Use one of these instead:

• ambiguous_species
• anon
• anonymous_character
• anonymous_artist
• unknown_artist

Someone tagging anonymous might not be meaning anon, but one of the other tags.

yeah sorry, misunderstood your comment. I wouldn't even know where to begin in disbanding the Anonymous tag. Some are just faceless, some are the character Anon...I was hoping doing this would be an easy fix...this may need a BUR or something. I'm not that skilled at doing those BURs. So I may just have to do grunt work and go through every image if I don't get some help or whatever.

I'm already finding the (character) Anon's to tag.
